You are here because something has been eating at you for years. The number on the scale. The photo you scroll right past. The morning your own body told you a truth your mouth still will not say.
Good. Say it now. Because here is the only promise I make: the truth first, the comfort never. I waited years for someone to hand me that. Nobody did. I almost died waiting. So I built the lifeline myself, and now I am handing it to you, hard edge first.
The Elevator
Picture a full elevator.
Seven people, shoulder to shoulder. The doors start to close. One more person steps on. Three hundred pounds, maybe more. Watch what happens. Every eye flicks to the weight-limit sign. You can see them do the math. Then somebody mutters, to no one, "You know what, I'll take the stairs." And he steps off.
That was me. I was the guy they stepped off for. For forty years.
It lasts a second. Then the doors close and everyone pretends it did not happen. But that flick of the eyes is a preview. Because there is a bigger tally running right now, and there is no stepping off this one. Your body is keeping it. Every day. And it is calling the debt in.
Standing still is not safe. Every single day you wait, you are not holding steady. You are being subtracted from. A little in the mirror. A little in the blood. A little off the back end of the years you have left.
